Fourth page of paintings by Werner Heckenbach of Wiesbaden

NEW -- (June 2011)

Wendy sent pictures of these two paintings by Werner. Since the other rooms of the gallery are just about full, these will be a good start for the fourth page of his paintings.

These two, paintings #22 and #23 are of Wendy and her brother Bob. She searched the name Heckenbach, looking for more information about the artist who painted her portraits, and found my website. Both measure 13 ½ X 16 inches.

Wendy's aunt was in the US Airforce and stationed in Germany. In 1956 she gave two pictures to the bartender working right across from the base, and that was all he needed. Wendy said Werner was the bartender.

The aunt gave the portraits to Wendy's parents who hung them in their home in Minnesota for over 50 years. When Wendy and Bob sold the house in 2009, they brought the paintings to their own homes.

Wendy also sent closeups of the signatures to me and they match the others we have seen.
